Meet Johnny Hightower, President of Hightower Racing Transmissins, Inc.
He has owned and operated
Hightower Racing Transmissions, Incorporated,
for 25 years in the same location. Johnny's experience began in 1974,
w
hen he drove his first race car, a Datsun 510, at Columbia Speedway, Columbia,
South Carolina. In 1976 he started racing dirt late models in a Chevy
Nova. With nearly 200 victories under his belt, he hung up his helmet in
1998 to design and build racing transmissions full time. Johnny's passion for
the sport has led him to build an impressive manufacturing facility where he can
perfect his own design and customize it to your needs. He wants to see you
win!
In 2012, Johnny was inducted into the Cherokee
Speedway Hall of Fame, Gaffney, South Carolina.
